Frequently asked questions

    Does Permutis cost money?

    Using it is free. Optionally there are subscriptions and extra features. Money never changes hands between users – everything is swapped.

    What can I swap?

    Goods (e.g. electronics, furniture, clothing) and services (e.g. tutoring, repairs, gardening).

    How does a swap happen?

    You swipe through offers. When both sides show interest, a match is created and a chat opens to sort out the details.

    Is Permutis safe?

    Profiles can be verified, there are ratings after every swap, and content is checked for money/price information and abuse.

    In which countries is Permutis available?

    Permutis is focused on the European Union and available in all 24 official languages.

    Do I need my own offer to swipe?

    Yes – with at least one active offer of your own, you can discover and swap other offers.

    What is the Permutis Founders Club?

    A limited community program for early supporters – not an investment, no equity stake, no guaranteed value growth.

    Is the Founder fee a subscription?

    No. The €500 contribution is one-time. You keep lifetime Champion status, with no further monthly obligation.

    What do I get as a Founder?

    Lifetime Champion status, a Founder Certificate with Founder Badge, monthly credit refill up to a maximum of 500 Founder credits, early access to new add-ons and Founder-only benefits.

    What does Lifetime Champion mean?

    You keep all Champion benefits indefinitely – unlimited offers, prioritised recommendations, early feature access – as long as your account exists.

    What are Founder Credits?

    Internal platform points for Founders, refilled monthly up to a maximum of 500 Founder credits. Non-cashable, not redeemable for money, not usable as a swap bonus between users.

    Can I cash out Founder Credits?

    No. Founder credits are a closed Permutis platform function – not money, not a payment instrument outside the platform.

    Can I transfer my Founder Pass?

    Yes. The Founder Pass is transferable via a one-time transfer code inside Permutis. The new owner becomes Founder, the previous owner loses Founder status.

    What happens if I transfer my Founder Pass?

    You lose Founder status and your Founder credits expire on the transfer date. Purchased and earned credits and your regular offers stay with you.

    Can I restore my Founder Pass after a transfer?

    No. Once the Founder Pass has been transferred, the previous owner cannot restore it via the in-app restore flow.

    Is the Founders Club an investment?

    No. There is no equity stake, no voting rights, no security and no profit or value promise. The Founder Pass is a limited lifetime service package with a transferable membership pass.

    Is there any value guarantee?

    No. A specific swap value for the Founder Certificate is not guaranteed. The pass stays a limited membership certificate, not an investment.

    Can I cash out Permutis Credits?

    No. Credits are a closed Permutis platform function. They cannot be cashed out or exchanged for money.

    Can I exchange Credits for Euro?

    No. Credits are not money and not a payment instrument outside Permutis.

    Which Credit types exist?

    Purchased (bought in the Credit shop), Earned (earned through platform activity), Promo (limited-time bonus promotions) and Founder (monthly refill for Founders, non-transferable).

    What happens to Founder Credits when I transfer my pass?

    Founder credits expire for the previous owner on the transfer date. Purchased and earned credits remain.

    What can I use Credits for?

    Planned: success boosts, 60-second video, quick deals, credit bonus, profile design shop, AI image optimisation and challenge promotion. Exact launch dates will be announced.

    When will Credit purchases be available?

    The Credit shop is currently in preparation. As soon as it goes live, it will be announced on the Credits page.

    What swap types exist?

    1:1 (one offer for one offer), 1:N (one offer for several), N:1 (several for one), N:N (several for several).

    Which plans unlock which swap types?

    Free and Plus send 1:1 swap offers only. Pro and Champion unlock multi-item swaps.

    Can I use Credits as a bonus in a swap?

    Planned: Credit bonus is on the roadmap, not live yet. When it ships, it will be offered as an optional, voluntary add-on in chat – never as a condition.

    Why Stripe on the Web?

    Stripe is an established payment provider for secure web checkouts. Stripe does not decide your Permutis status – the Permutis backend does.

    Why Apple/Google/RevenueCat on Mobile?

    Mobile subscriptions and purchases go through the Apple App Store and Google Play – this is a store requirement. RevenueCat wraps both worlds as an SDK and analytics layer.

    Who decides my subscription/Founder/Credit status?

    The Permutis backend (Supabase) is the single source of truth. Stripe, RevenueCat and the app stores only report payment events; your actual status is decided by the backend.

    What does Server Truth mean?

    Your plan, Founder and Credit status is managed exclusively by the Permutis backend. The client only displays the current status. Client-side tampering has no effect on your actual status.
